  Nice visitors centre and plenty of parking (not free). There is a small amount of informational displays up front and the kids should be entertained as much as the adults. The cafe in the back has some amazing cakes and scones so please feel free to indulge yourself.
  
  You are about a 5-15 minute walk to the middle falls viewing platform. Once there, you can't get to close but you'll have some great views. There are about 50 steps so you'll have to work for the views! Back on the trail, it is another 20-30 minutes to view the lower falls which are bigger and louder since you can get very close to them. You can climb down (safely) and sit on the large rocky platform and watch the falls in action. A view to your right and you'll be looking upriver... to the left, downriver, and a great expansive view of the river basin. no swimming or wading in the water! The water is brown from the tannen in the water so you'll never be able to judge the depths. Enjoy your hike. About 2 miles from here and you'll be at Bolton Castle.
  
  This is an easy hike but there are steps that you must navigate to get close to the water. the paths are usually clear and gravel covered so even street shoes can get the job done.
